Bodegas Campo Viejo were founded in 1963, and own 500 hectares of vineyards in the Rioja villages of Navarrate, Quel, Alfaro and Torremontalbo. The grape varieties used are Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano. The bodegas use 50,000 barrels in American and French oak, and store a total of over 3 million bottles, enabling them to market a wide range of wines.

The domain has 400 hectares of its own vineyards and a further 1900 hectares under contract. The vines in most of our vineyards are over 25 years old, of the Tempranillo variety. The vineyards are divided into plots and the vines are managed according to predefined criteria, enabling us to produce the grapes in the location best suited to each type of wine.

Bodega Juan Alcorta

Probably one of the best wineries in the world, located in the very heart of the Rioja region, in exceptional land for growing, making and ageing wine.
Throughout the winemaking process, the bunches of grapes then the wine are carried by gravity, so that no artificial pressure interferes with the final result.
This difficult, meticulous production process produces velvety wines, harmonious and highly concentrated, in terms of both nose and palate.
Ageing mainly takes place in American oak barrels, rich in vanilla flavours, while French oak offers more spicy nuances. The use of both types of wood produces a subtle bouquet of coconut and vanilla, with spicy and toasted notes.
