Entreprise & Prévention

Entreprise & Prévention is an association bringing together 17 companies from the alcoholic beverages sector in France, created in 1990 to fight excessive and inappropriate drinking.

Since 1999, the Entreprise & Prévention association, partner of Securité Routière, the French Road Safety agency, has been present in nightclubs to promote the "designated driver" principle among young people. In order to popularise the slogan “The person who drives is the one who doesn't drink”, the association introduced the "C KI KI CONDUIT?" ("Who's driving?") programme in 2003.

IREB (INSTITUT DE RECHERCHES SCIENTIFIQUES SUR LES BOISSONS – INSTITUTE OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ON DRINK).

The IREB, research organisation and source of documentation and information on alcohol, was created in 1971 on the initiative of Jean Hémard, then CEO of Pernod. Over two hundred and fifty biomedical and social sciences research programmes have been subsidised to date.

The IREB endeavours, through its own studies, to make up for the lack of detailed statistical information on the consumption of alcohol by the French.

Since 1993, the IREB has been participating in a work group in order to summarise the information available in matters of alcohology in France, relating both to drinking and to the consequences associated with excessive drinking
